Introducing the Louisville Over and Under ground, a new world-class transit network to serve Louisville. Consisting of 15 lines with around 300 stations, the LOU serves a vast area and puts the majority of the population within a 20 minute walk of a station.

While a network of 15 lines and 341 stations may seem far-fetched and futuristic, it is very achievable, as it is futuristic, envisioned for construction over the next 50 years. Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, most of Louisville's development over the years has centered itself along pre-exising rights of way, not used to their full potential. Because of this, a lot of the network I envision can be built today, and inexpensively too. The map below outlines all routes I foresee in the next 50 years. Of these lines, The entire purple, red, maroon, cyan, and green line corridors can be upgraded for service TODAY. The remainder of the lines including the olive, cyan, orange, lime, mint, grey, magenta, teal, beige, pink, and venetian line have corridors that are easy to acquire and track can be laid with ease in nearly all sections.
